Sooner the Safer
Helping Save Lives

Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children aged 1 to 4—and yet, it’s largely preventable. A child who knows how to float, swim to the edge, or call for help has a far greater chance of surviving an accidental fall into water. That’s where Sooner the Safer comes in.
We are a nonprofit foundation committed to protecting young lives through early swim education, water safety awareness, and CPR training. We provide tuition assistance for families who cannot afford swim lessons, host community education days to teach critical water safety skills, and offer CPR classes so caregivers can act quickly in emergencies.
Your donation has the power to save a life. Every dollar goes toward making swim lessons and safety training accessible to the children who need it most. With your support, we can give families peace of mind—and give kids a fighting chance.
The Mission
Our mission is to promote water safety and drowning prevention through swim lessons and scholarships for children of all ages. We are dedicated to empowering underserved communities by increasing access to life-saving swim education. By educating parents, caregivers, and individuals, we aim to make being in, on, or near water safer for everyone. The sooner we act, the safer we all become.
